Part of making the community a better place is treating our baristas with the respect they deserve. After all, they live here too, and the happier they are, the better your experience will be.
The owners of Coffee to the People know how hard it can be to stand on your feet all day pulling espresso. We aim to maintain a professional yet fun environment for our employees. We ask a lot of our baristas, and consider them our partners. In recognition of that fact, we include all of our employees in a profit-sharing program.
We also respect our baristas’ intellects: we look to them to teach us how we can make your experience better. We teach every barista at Coffee to the People all about the organic and fair trade coffees and teas, and our baristas are engaged in an ongoing quest to improve their tasting and preparation skills. Our goal is for each of our baristas to be your personal coffee and tea expert and to elevate the hand-crafting of your beverage to an art form.
Learning from you. Our respect for our staff is matched by our respect for our guests. We have a lot to learn from you, and we regularly incorporate your input and feedback into the development and evolution of Coffee to the People.
